Ørsted and HASI Close Land Finance Deal Supporting ~1 GW of Solar and Storage Projects Across Three States
ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (“HASI”) (NYSE: HASI), a leading investor in sustainable infrastructure assets, and Ørsted, a leading global clean energy company, today announced the closing of a series of land transactions with HASI, encompassing approximately 6,600 acres across Ørsted’s Eleven Mile Solar Center in Pinal County, Arizona; Sparta Solar project in Bee County, Texas; and Muscle Shoals Solar project in Colbert County, Alabama.
Ørsted and its partners will continue to own and operate the projects, which are operational and hold long-term, investment-grade power purchase agreements (PPAs). Collectively, the three solar and battery projects represent approximately 1 GW of operational renewable capacity.
HASI has provided land financings across 6 GW of solar and storage projects in the past year, bringing its total land investment to more than 24 GW.
